To make new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Our Vision

We are Manchaca United Methodist Church … and we exist to bring new and seasoned believers into an ever-deepening relationship with God through Jesus Christ, as we spread the message of Christ to the community of Manchaca and the South Austin area.   

We share many things in common with our neighbors – some of us are raising a family, some have retired, others are single – we work, we struggle, we laugh, and we love.   Joy and faith come to us through a spiritual connection to God through Jesus Christ, who is with us each moment of each day.   We are a family in Christ, united by the Holy Spirit and committed to one another.  We believe that God’s love and forgiveness have the power to change each person and the world, and that God invites all people into a life-long, Christ-centered journey of faith.

At Manchaca United Methodist Church, we seek to embody the ideals of the Christian life described by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13 – “the three most important things to have are faith, hope and love.  And the greatest of these is love.”      

We will let our actions speak by:

• life-changing, Jesus-centered worship, learning, service and witness
• mission-driven, outward-focused ministries that address unmet needs in the community
• providing assistance and advocacy for the homeless and less fortunate 
• serving as a social hub/community center where good things happen and everyone is involved
• our joy – our hospitality toward all we meet – our grace – our acceptance of others as they are – our Spirit!
