The Youth Tree Lot is Coming Soon!

We still have pumpkins out in front of our church, and yet we are already planning for Christmas trees! Each year Manchaca Youth run a tree lot to raise money for their mission trips and other spiritual retreats. Here are ways that you can support our youth ministry by serving in the tree lot!

Tree Lot Set Up: Sunday, November 5, right after worship! We will set up fencing, build tree corrals, create a new tarp system, lay out pallets for tree delivery, load our trailer with tree lot supplies, and cut the flagging tape for our color-coding pricing system. We especially need help from people that can build and lift things, but we will have plenty of jobs for those who can't! We need all youth and youth parents to come if able, but anyone and everyone is invited!

Be a Tree Waterer (Weekdays, November 20 - December 8) Our trees must be kept hydrated to stay in good shape. Sign up to water the trees during the weekday while the youth are at school! (Sign up coming soon!)

Help Load the Trees into the Lot:

  • Sunday, November 19, right after the holiday meal
  • Wednesday, November 22, 5:00 - 8:00 pm

We need as many flaggers as we do loaders, so there is plenty of work for all people of all abilities! We need as many hands on deck as possible!

Purchase a Tree or Send People to Our Tree Lot! The Tree Lot opens on November 24, the day after Thanksgiving. If you purchase a live tree, please consider supporting our youth by purchasing one from our lot. And be sure to send your family and friends to our lot, too!

Off-Set Our Give-Aways. We plan to close the lot on Sunday, December 10. We usually have several trees that we donate to families in the area. You can help off-set the cost by making a donation toward a tree give-away.
