FREE Paper Shred & Electronics Recycling

SATURDAY, August 6th
8:30-10:30 AM

Start Organizing Now!   Time to dig through your old junk and clean out that attic!  As you do, you may wonder, “What do I do with all these old records and obsolete electronics???” Well it’s excellent timing!  Protect your past from identity theft and save our landfills at the same time.  MUMC will host a FREE document shred and electronics recycle event this summer on August 6th, in the west parking lot from 8:30-10:30 am.
Tim Dowling of "Beyond the Move Realty" will sponsor our paper shred and if you need a document to verify that your materials have been shredded, that is available.

"Go Recycle" will have a truck available to responsibly recycle useable parts of the electronics and properly dispose of the parts that cannot be recycled.
Go Recycle Does NOT Accept

  • Gas, Electric & Microwave Ovens
  • Refrigerators, Freezers
  • Hot Water Heaters
  • Window AC Units

There is a nominal fee of $15 to recycle CRT computer monitors and CRT televisions.

While you’re at it, bring a children’s book to donate.  Did you know that 2/3 of low income students do not own a book? All books collected will be donated to “Reading is Fundamental”, a non profit organization that supplies new or gently used books to those children.  Books appropriate for kids of all ages through high school, in English or Spanish are welcome.

Please help us spread the word!  Tell your neighbors, friends, and groups you belong to.  Let’s show the community we are serious about protecting the environment and helping the world become a better place!
