Boomers Exercise Groups
These groups meet at 9 am and 10 am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in our church parlor. Although they specifically target the needs of seniors, all ages and fitness levels are welcome. Learn more here!
Church Writing Group
This new group meets in the evening on the 1st Thursday each month in the morning on the 3rd Thursday (choose what works best for you). We will have a short devotional, discuss a few writing/journaling strategies, followed by individual writing time and sharing. Click HERE for more information about this group.
Join us at the Coloring Cafe gathering for adults on the 2nd Monday of each month at 9:30 am in the Parlor at MUMC! Coloring sheets, colored pencils and gel pens will be available to share but feel free to bring your own supplies. Bring a friend! Click HERE for more information about this group.
For nearly 40 years the Craft Group has met for crafting, fellowship, and fun. We create a variety of crafts using materials from wood, to metal, fabrics, beads, paint, and more. All creative talents and skill levels are welcome to join. Click HERE for more information.
Crop & Craft
A group of mostly moms gather on the third Friday of each odd month for fellowship and crafting time. Whether you sew, scrapbook, make cards or prep VBS materials, you are welcome! We have lots of table space for you to finish your projects and childcare is available by reservation. LEARN MORE!
Good News Ministry
Originally started by John Stine as the MUMC Clown Ministry, this group spreads the good news of God's love to our community. In addition to participating in church events such as the Fall Festival and Spring Fling, we also visit nursing homes, churches and any organization that requests our service. Our programs include songs, music, storytelling, Scripture readings and clown/puppet shows. If you can play a musical instrument, enjoy singing, like to act or if you just want to have fun and spread the love of Jesus to others, join us! LEARN MORE.
Men's Bible Study Lunch Group
All MUMC men are invited to join us for Bible study and fellowship. Pastor Rosie leads us in Bible study or in discussion of a book of her choice. On August 2nd we started discussing a book by C. S. Lewis titled "MERE CHRISTIANITY". Plans are to continue the study of C. S. Lewis' books as interest grow in his other book topics. Weekly meetings are held at noon on Wednesdays at the Texican Cafe on Manchaca Rd. A light lunch is available for those that wish to participate. Seniors and other adults are invited to attend Sunshine Cafe - an fun afternoon of lunch, activities and conversation. The Sunshine Cafe is scheduled quarterly on the first Thursday of each month. Learn more here.

We offer two bible studies for women each Spring and Fall (and sometimes Summer, too!). Click on one to learn more!
WOW (Women of the Word)
Women of the Word is a group of women who meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. We choose inspirational books to read and discuss. Each meeting begins with a devotional provided by one of the members. We close our meeting with celebrations, concerns and prayer. Our group participates in service projects such as, working in the food pantry, assembling Mana bags and providing refreshments for teachers at Menchaca Elementary. We also support the food pantry through our annual fundraising efforts with Mother's Day carnations and Father's Day ribbons. Contact Ellis Lay at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
