On Sunday, September 22, 2024, Manchaca United Methodist Church celebrated 150 Years of Ministry with a combined worship service followed by a community lunch.
The incredibly people who volunteer with the 150 Historical Committee, the Manchaca Barbeque Club, and the Youth Group came together to put the entire lunch together — from the decorations to the food to the photos! We had a barbeque lunch with cake and ice cream while a slideshow of old photos was on the main screen.
Dr. Marcus Freeman, the district superintendent, also presented the church with a Recognition of 150 Years of Ministry.
Then, Dr. Freeman and Pastor Paul cut our celebratory cake together.
We are so thankful to everyone who helped make this a success, from the people volunteering at the lunch, to the 150 Historical Committee for organizing all the wonderful events this year, to everyone who came and celebrated with us.
