Wow! What a Sunday we shared in our grand celebration of 150 years of ministry at Manchaca UMC. It is a moment in time that I will cherish and remember for quite awhile. Laura and I left the church campus yesterday with an emotion that was deep and wide, something akin to the mercy of the Lord. Also Gratitude - but that just doesn’t say enough. We felt a joy that is best expressed without words. Music captures the soul of what we experienced with you on this very special occasion.
I am eager to see the photos taken at the celebration. Moments in time, each photo I am sure will share the grace of what it means to be a congregation of faith. Friends, family, fellow pilgrims along the Way, these photos should be something to behold.
And yet, I am also eager to see what the future, God’s preferred future, holds for this congregation known as Manchaca United Methodist Church. With the providence of the Lord along with the great enthusiasm of each disciple, I am confident that the mission of God’s love will continue here for years to come.
