The Sesquicentennial 150th Anniversary Committee members have worked tirelessly since last year to bring fun activities to celebrate our 150th Birthday of Service and Leadership to our community. We have provided free events to our congregation (click here to see what we've done) and thank you for your attendance and support. We have provided custom designed and made items to sell to help defray the cost of our celebration events: T-shirts, commemorative coins and picture tiles.
With the Church having undergone some unexpected financial maladies this year, we are reminded of the old saying “Many hands make for light work”. If members will help out by purchasing one of these items, it will help us in continuing to provide fun events that are self-sustaining. Our big birthday celebration will be on Sunday September 22 with District Superintendent Marcus Freeman preaching with a catered meal after the one combined service.
We still have about 80 commemorative coins to sell at $5.00 each and some 4 inch ceramic picture tiles with 4 different views of our church $4.00 each or a set of four for $10.00. These will help defray the cost by not utilizing church funds. Tiles and coins will be available after each service in both the FLC or the sanctuary starting this coming Sunday the 21st.
Please consider purchasing with cash. These items are not sellable to any other church and are available to our members and former members only.
